CDBG 2023 Substantial Completion Meeting

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE 

The City of Mount Pleasant will hold a public meeting on March 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the conference room at Mount Pleasant City Hall. This meeting is being held to discuss the recently completed 2023 Mount Pleasant CDBG Water Line Improvement Project. All residents or entities with comments regarding this project are encouraged to attend the meeting or mail comments to the City Recorder’s Office, City of Mount Pleasant, 100 Public Square, Mount Pleasant, TN 38474. The City of Mount Pleasant does not discriminate. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Special accommodations may be provided to persons with disabilities by contacting the City Recorder at (931) 379-7717.

Notice of Substantial Completion 

             Notice is hereby given that Contracting Services has substantially completed the 2023 Mount Pleasant CDBG Water Line Improvement Project according to the terms of its contract with the City of Mount Pleasant. Any person, firm, or corporation having any unpaid claims against said contractor for labor, materials, or supplies in connection with said work is hereby notified to present the same in the manner and within the time required by law. All claims must be received in writing by the undersigned no later than March 1, 2026, for consideration.

CDBG Public Input Meeting

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE 

The City of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, will hold a public meeting at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the Mt. Pleasant City Hall courtroom to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program administered by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the guidelines of the program and to solicit input from area residents regarding potential uses of CDBG funds. 2026 CDBG funds can be used for water system improvements, sewer system improvements, and community livability.  Community livability projects include public health and safety (ambulances, fire trucks, clinics, EMS stations); community infrastructure (streets, drainage, flood mitigation); and community revitalization (community centers, daycares, etc.).  

All residents or entities with projects are encouraged to attend this meeting or mail suggestions to City Manager, Mt. Pleasant City Hall, 100 Public Square, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474. The City of Mt.
