CDBG Public Input Meeting

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE 

The City of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, will hold a public meeting at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026, in the Mt. Pleasant City Hall courtroom to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program administered by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the guidelines of the program and to solicit input from area residents regarding potential uses of CDBG funds. 2026 CDBG funds can be used for water system improvements, sewer system improvements, and community livability.  Community livability projects include public health and safety (ambulances, fire trucks, clinics, EMS stations); community infrastructure (streets, drainage, flood mitigation); and community revitalization (community centers, daycares, etc.).  

All residents or entities with projects are encouraged to attend this meeting or mail suggestions to City Manager, Mt. Pleasant City Hall, 100 Public Square, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474. The City of Mt. Pleasant does not discriminate. The location of the meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities. Beer Board Meeting

This 4th of September of 2025 notice is hereby given that the Mount Pleasant Beer Board will meet on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Tom Hardin Room at Mount Pleasant City Hall to consider the application of the following individuals to sell beer for “On Premise” consumption at the designated location. 

(1)   Applicants: Mr. Jesus Ruiz & Alvaro Ruiz, DBA Cocina Real LLC, at 305 North Main Street, Mount Pleasant, Tennessee 38474.

Beer Board Meeting

This 25th day of August of 2025 notice is hereby given that the Mount Pleasant Beer Board will meet on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Tom Hardin Room at Mount Pleasant City Hall. The Beer Board will consider the application of the following charitable organization for a Special Event Permit to serve alcoholic beverages at their annual charity event at the designated location. 

(1)   Mount Pleasant Benefit Ball Committee: the event will be held at Manor Hall located at 216 Pleasant Street, Mount Pleasant, Tennessee 38474.
