The City of Mount Pleasant has an agreement with the Maury County Animal Control to provide services to the residents of the city. Please reference the list below for who to call about animal issues.

Maury County Animal Control does offer a “Trap-Neuter-Return” service for feral and community cats, free of charge. Please contact them for more information on this program.
Maury County Animal Control does not pick up cats. However, people are allowed to surrender cats at the shelter. The shelter is open seven days a week. We do ask pet owners to call ahead and make an appointment, but strays are accepted as walk-ins anytime the shelter is open.
