The purpose of the permitting process is to ensure minimum standards to protect the public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation and maintenance or use of plumbing equipment and systems are upheld.

Adopted Codes

The City of Mount Pleasant has adopted the 2018 International Building Codes with amendments included in City Resolution 2020-1050, which are enforced by the City of Mount Pleasant Building Inspections office. Additionally, the codes are available for reading in the Building & Planning Department located in Mount Pleasant City Hall.

Credit Cards $2.00 minimum or 2.50% of subtotal.

ACH greater than $10,000.00 - additional 0.20% charge on amounts exceeding $10,000.00.
